The 2020 Award is for the painting of this fabulous 2-storey home in Ormond. The Before shot is below and as you can see the transformation is amazing and our client is so happy. We pressure washed, stripped some paint, and filled and sanded prior to painting to achieve this result. We painted a few rooms inside as well. The above photos are of the Malvern Heart Centre. We painted both the inside and outside following the renovation of this iconic building in Malvern East. The above photos are of a large modern home we painted, also in Brighton. We painted the exterior which was in poor condition with quite a lot of cracking on the render. We used a membrane type product that stretches with movement to try to reduce future cracking.
The above photos are of a period home in Brighton. We painted the outside and returned 2 or 3 times to paint the interior in stages to suit our client. The interior is very ornate with detailed ceilings and woodwork. There was significant preparation required particularly on the inside.The image of the ceiling shows some of the detailed work we undertook including patching, filling, sanding and gapping prior to even opening the cans of paint.
The photo is of a great kid’s bedroom. This was painted as part of a larger project for a gorgeous home in Brighton. Our client wanted to update her home from a yellow type colour scheme to an off-white and to paint the bedrooms in alternate colors. Click here to view more photos and our video
This photo is of a weatherboard home we painted in Brighton East. We painted part of the inside and part of the exterior. There was lead paint present in both the inside and outside. Where the paint was peeling or in poor condition we stripped paint first to remove the old lead paint and then painted. These photos are of a modern townhouse we painted in Brighton. We used a boom to access the 2nd-storey at the front. We pressure washed, filled and undercoated the render prior to painting and it has now been beautifully refreshed for our client.

“We have just had most of the exterior of our timber house painted by Women at Work Painters (WAWP) in two separate repeat contracts six months apart.
We found WAWP very reliable. They came to give us well structured quotes, timings and contracts when they said they would. Their prices were reasonable, so we gave them repeat business for the two halves of our job.
The work was a bit tricky because of the high roof height, Georgian window frames and prolific plantings/garden beds adjacent to the building walls and surrounding picket fences. The preparation and painting was done to a high standard – the two painters on our jobs were courteous, hard-working and very skillful. The painters kept us informed about when they were to be on the job and what parts of the project they would be doing the next day. The painters did what they said they would do and made negligible mess on our property. WAWP management visited several times during the jobs to confirm the high standards set were being met by the assigned painters and that we clients were happy.
They left us a list of the paints/colours which they used and where they used them. They also left us some left over paints so that we can do touch-ups ourselves when needed in the future. We have a young puppy who is a bit of a bolter and they were careful to keep gates closed to isolate him in non-work areas and prevent escapes.
Frankly, we can’t think of anything we would like them to have done better.”
