We received this 2022 painting award for the painting of this beautiful heritage home in Ormond. We have included before and after photos. Significant preparation, including paint stripping, electric sanding and applying an oil-based undercoat, was required. We referred our clients to a carpenter so the rotten timber could be replaced. The 2020 award was for the painting of this fabulous 2-storey home in Ormond. The before photo is below and, as you can see, the transformation is amazing. Our client was very happy. We pressure washed, stripped some paint and filled and sanded prior to painting to achieve this result. We also painted several rooms inside. St Kilda apartment block — We received the above painting award in 2017 for the painting of this apartment block in St Kilda East. We sprayed most of the walls and used scaffolding and booms to access the high areas. To see more photos of this project and others, please click here.

Ormond house painting — These 2 photos are of a 2-storey weatherboard home in Ormond. The photos show the front and rear. Considerable preparation went into painting the exterior, including pressure washing, electric sanding and filling the timber.

Before and after photos of a window we stripped and painted in Ormond. We stripped, applied an oil-based undercoat and painted multiple windows because their condition was too poor to simply sand and paint. We often use an oil-based undercoat to help prevent bubbling.

This interior photo is from a stunning home we painted in Brighton. We painted most of the house, including bedrooms, the study and living areas.

These 2 photos are from a beautiful heritage home we painted in Armadale. Significant preparation, including filling cracks and gaps, was required to achieve this wonderful result.

Art-deco apartment painter — Our final photo is of an art-deco apartment building we painted in St Kilda. We painted 3 of the 4 apartments in this block, as well as the exterior.

I hired a lead hygienist because of the complex nature of the job and for lead paint removal advice. They were happy to follow his recommendations. Peel Away was used to remove the lead paint initially, followed by removing the remainder with a HEPA-filter vacuum. All windows were protected to prevent dust from entering the home.

As the windows were in poor condition, Geoff the builder had to essentially reconstruct them, with the result looking like new. Geoff and Simon are true artists. A lot of thought and planning went into the process and I am so happy with the results, as I didn’t think the job was possible.

Greg even returned to complete a final clean-up and admire the finished result, which looked amazing. Thank you to the entire Women at Work team for your hard work. I am looking forward to completing the next set of windows soon.”
