We received the above painting award in 2024 for the repair and painting of this dual-occupancy house in Balwyn, close to Ivanhoe. It is a large and very long house with a rear extension. The house had been neglected and was in terrible condition. We stripped most of the windows prior to painting and completed carpentry repairs, pressure washed, filled cracks and repaired poor work completed by previous painters. Our client, who lives in Tasmania, was concerned that the property could not be restored and was thrilled with the finish we achieved. These photos are from a new home we painted in Alphington. It is a fabulous modern, architect-designed home. We painted both the interior and exterior of this gorgeous building and were awarded the winner of our category by the Master Painters Association in 2018. This photo is of the Melbourne Athenaeum. This was a complex project, as the building hadn’t been painted for a long time and involved a lot of detailed work. We received an Excellence in Painting Award in 2016 in recognition of the preparation and finish we achieved. For more information on this project, please click here.

This photo is from a house we painted in Ivanhoe. It is a beautiful art-deco home. We painted the timber trim, metal windows and handrails, of which there were many. Due to the height, we used scaffolding in some areas. We filled, sanded and spot-primed before painting. We also organised a carpenter to replace rotten timber and repair the eaves prior to painting.

This photo is also of a house we painted in Ivanhoe. It is a 2-storey rendered and brick home, which is a completely different style from the first house. Being 2-storey, there were some access issues, which we were able to resolve, and the painting was quite straightforward in the end.

These 2 photos are from a large modern home in Kew. They show the entrance and stairwell. We painted the home before our client moved in. We updated the colours to Builders White on the ceilings and Dulux Natural White on the walls and woodwork to provide a more contemporary feel.

Ivanhoe is located 10kms north-east of the Melbourne CBD. It is part of the City of Banyule and has a population of over 11,000 people.

Part of Ivanhoe is located on the banks of the Yarra River, with adjoining parklands including Wilson Reserve and Chelsworth Park, as well as Ivanhoe Golf Club.

It is home to Ivanhoe Grammar School and Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School, 2 well-known private schools.
