Master Painters Award

Painters Canterbury — This photo is of the Melbourne Athenaeum. This was a complex project, as the building hadn’t been painted for a long time and involved a lot of detailed work. We received an Excellence in Painting Award in 2016 in recognition of the preparation and finish we achieved. To view other projects, including the Athenaeum, please click here.

This photo is from a house we painted in Ivanhoe. It is a beautiful art-deco home. We painted the timber trim, metal windows and handrails, of which there were many. Due to the height, we used scaffolding in some areas.

This photo and the one below are before and after shots of a 2-storey weatherboard home in Surrey Hills. We completed significant preparation, including paint stripping, gapping, filling and electric sanding, to provide this wonderful finish.

Photos of a lovely Victorian home we painted in Hawthorn following a major renovation. As expected, we completed a lot of preparation both inside and outside. For the exterior, we used Classic Cream and Manor Red. Inside, we used Antique White USA for the walls and woodwork.

Exterior painter Canterbury — This image is from a home we painted in Kew. We painted both the interior and exterior of this period home. It has many ornate features in the ceilings and woodwork, as can be seen in the photo.

Canterbury 3126

Canterbury is a Melbourne suburb located 10kms from the CBD and is part of the City of Boroondara. It has a population of approximately 8,000 people.

Canterbury was semi-rural until 1882, when the railway line opened. The area was then subdivided from around 1885 into the Claremont Park Estate, situated between Canterbury Road, Bryson Street, Prospect Hill Road and Logan Street.

In 1900, the Monomeath Estate was subdivided in the area now known as Monomeath Avenue.

Canterbury is now an exclusive area renowned for its leafy streets and large homes. A number of well-known Australians have lived in Canterbury.

It is home to several prestigious private schools, including Camberwell Grammar School, Camberwell Girls Grammar School and Strathcona Baptist Girls Grammar School.
